Issue 01 | Soft Rebellion and Sacred Beginnings

✦ OPENING NOTE ✦

Thank you for taking the time to open this newsletter, read these words, and step into the world of Oracle & Ink with me.

This first issue arrives after the Strawberry Moon and right as Mercury has gotten her microbraids, also known as Mercury Retrograde.

And honestly? I think it’s fitting.

Retrogrades are a time for reviewing, reflecting, and reassessing. In other words: slow down, look inward, and process what life has been trying to show you.

Which brings me back to the microbraids. Because who wants to be doing their hair while reassessing their life?

Not me.

Seriously though, releasing this first newsletter during this season feels aligned. It feels like a threshold. A beginning. A soft but serious reminder that we do not have to carry everything from the last season into this one.

This is a time for gratitude, reflection, and reassessing thoughts, habits, ideas and goals we thought we were chasing.

So let’s begin here: with remembrance, reflection, and a little ink on the page.

✦ FROM THE DESK OF ORACLE & INK ✦

WHO AM I?

I am Sheena, also known as Rootz2Fya on my socials — an indie author, worldbuilder, mother, wife, sister, spiritual creative, and Hype Sage.

What exactly is a Hype Sage?

Think of me as that auntie-oracle-muse who will gas you up and tell you the truth.

Not the false, performative love that is really projection dressed up in concern. Not the empty positive fluff that skips over the hard parts. I mean the kind of truth that wafts into your soul, helps you remember who you are, and lights the fire again.

Sacred encouragement with receipts.

WHY AM I HERE?

I created Oracle & Ink because I need a place where my worlds, my spiritual reflections, my writing life, and my need for beautiful, practical tools could live together without apologizing for being too much.

Yes, I build galaxies.

And yes, I am obsessed with planners, paper and pen.

MY NOVEL

Debuting June 2027, The Emet is an Afrofurturist/myth-science story about memory, resonance, power, grief and what happens when the truth refuses to stay buried.

✦ WEEKLY COSMIC NAVIGATION ✦

I simply refuse to build galaxies and not comment on how the cosmos is working in our daily lives.

And trust me, this is rooted and grounded in real life.

The Strawberry Moon reached her fullness on June 29, 2026. Arriving close to the summer solstice, this moon carries the energy of a mid-year check-in: a moment to pause, look around, and ask, “What has this year shown me so far?”

Combined with Mercury and her microbraids from June 29, 2026 through July 23, 2026, this season is creating space for emotional clarity, self-reflection, releasing old habits, celebration, setting intentions, and personal growth.

This is not the season to rush the next version of yourself into existence.

This is the season to listen.

To review what worked.

To reassess what drained you.

To reflect on what your spirit has been trying to say underneath all the noise.

Soft rebellion begins here: when you stop performing urgency and start honoring your own rhythm.

Sacred beginnings begin here: when you decide the next six months do not have to look like the last six.

✦ THE INK PROMPT ✦

Write a letter to the version of yourself who survived the first six months of 2026.

Thank them.

Name what they carried.

Tell them what they are allowed to put down.

Then ask your current self:

What do I want to do with the next six months of 2026?

Not what do I have to prove.

Not who do I have to impress.

Not what old version of me am I trying to resurrect.

What do I want to create, choose, protect, nourish, and become?

✦ CLOSING AFFIRMATION ✦

Stay soft, stay strange, and let the ink tell the Truth.

SPIRIT. STORY. INK. REMEMBERANCE.

❤️️,

Rootz | Oracle & Ink
